 Thank you for your interest in the Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot (RNIP) in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario.

A welcoming community of 73,000, Sault Ste. Marie provides a mix of urban and natural amenities that offer an affordable, active lifestyle in the heart of the Great Lakes. This pilot is designed to support economic development in our community and strengthen our local business's capacity to develop and retain a skilled workforce. This pilot is being managed in partnership between the Sault Ste. Marie Economic Development Corporation, FutureSSM, the Sault Ste. Marie Local Immigration Partnership and the Sault Community Career Centre.

The RNIP Pilot has been extended until February 2024. Please see more information here.

August 25, 2023 announcement

Any new applications coming from August 25th 2023 will be reviewed, but no recommendation letter can be given until January 2024 as we have maxed our allocations for 2023.
