Only the Sectors chosen will be eligible to apply for designation. If you are not seeing your NOC but your sector is listed and you are the employer, you can reach out to us at Labourforce@ssm.on.ca .

Employers who have either employed or are hiring a Temporary Foreign Worker from the priority NOC list and are an employer under the six priority sectors can participate in the pilot. Here is more information if you are an employer trying to get designated in the community of Sault Ste. Marie. *Recruitment and Labor Market Efforts* 

Has the candidate been working for the company for at least 6 months?

If not, the city will be asking for proof from the employer, including but not limited to the resumes collected and the list of applicants that were interviewed etc. The role needs to be posted on a local job board (Welcometossm, Sault Career Center, or Soo Today) and Job Bank for 10 weeks. Please check the recommendation application form as a guideline to assist you.
