We are ready to take this game to the next level and need a passionate Senior Agile Delivery Advisor to be accountable for coordinating the delivery of agile based development for OLG. This includes helping teams develop new products and features by working closely with the product squads including the Technology Product Owners, Technical Leads, and Business Analysts. The Senior Agile Delivery Advisor plays a critical role in facilitating the use of Agile methodologies and practices ensuring teams remain engaged and successful in the delivery of product solutions.
YOUR ROLE IN THE GAME
Reporting to the Director Delivery Enablement, you will be empowered to:
- Support the success of product squads by enabling s iterative and incremental value delivery and continuous improvement.
- Understand the work of technology solution delivery teams and enable effective self-organization that maximizes organizational value delivery.
- Enable product squads to deliver value and continuously improve based on establishing, tracking, and leveraging appropriate KPI’s to monitor and manage value delivery.
- Provide understanding of software development practice, concepts/methodologies (e.g. Agile, Kanban, SAFe iterative), and technologies obtained through formal training and/or work experience.
- Collaborate with delivery groups across OLG to ensure alignment of delivery approaches to maximize value delivery when undertaking initiatives that cut across divisions and require complex coordination.
- Act as a communication bridge between the product squads to ensure product management and technology solution delivery teams are regularly sharing information and delivering value.
- Work with other business lines to guide the adoption of product-oriented delivery and apply principles and guidance on project/program delivery aligned to product operating model.
- Proactively work to remove bottlenecks and continuously optimize value delivery.
- Work in close partnership with Product Owners, Developers, Quality Specialists, Business Analysts, Environment Engineers, and Technical Leads to ensure timely delivery of product increments.
- Interacts regularly with product management and other stakeholders to help clear roadblocks to the teams’ progress.
- Partners with other Agile Delivery Advisors and release teams in the planning and deployment of releases.
- Work in close partnership with governance, application, and quality assurance standards leaders to ensure alignment to OLG standards, methods, and practices all the while ensuring compliance to audit requirements.
WHAT YOU NEED TO PLAY
Work Experience:
- 7-10 years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in transforming an organization from a traditional project practice into iterative business value delivery.
- Experience working across both waterfall project management and within Agile Methodologies.
Education:
- A strong grasp of modern development technologies, automated testing, development lifecycles, flows and system integration patterns (Scrum, XP, Lean, Kanban, etc.)
- Scrum master experience preferred.
- Significant understanding of Agile frameworks & methodologies to coach and embed behaviours.
- Business analysis, scrum master, Kanban, project manager certification is an asset.

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to communicate complex messages (in person, video or in writing) and teach new concepts.
- Outstanding organizational skills with the ability to apply agile principles, tools and techniques to lead, manage and help teams execute successful product development.
- The ability to coach/advocate at multiple levels (e.g. team members, Product Owners).
- The ability to encourage an environment where open communication and collaborative problem solving can pave the way for faster removal of any impediments.
- The ability to apply problem-solving skills and knowledge of Information Technology to a variety of complex situations.
