We are ready to take this game to the next level and need a passionate Director Regional Draws to lead the development and implementation of strategic annual marketing plans to ensure customer success and deliver planned profit to the province of Ontario. The role oversees the design, development and marketing of Regional Draw products and or customer journeys simultaneously, while following enterprise brand guidelines and is accountable to deliver annual revenue and profit, player participation outcomes and desired customer experience. This is achieved by directing the profitable management of Regional Draws retail lottery portfolio, valued at $800M in annual revenue, with millions in game contribution through the development, execution and marketing of a portfolio of national draw games and additional new product and marketing opportunities .
YOUR ROLE IN THE GAME
Reporting to the VP Lottery & Customer Success , you will be empowered to:
- Develop and oversee the execution of annual category business plans (Revenue/NPP/Player Participation) for OLG’s 11 regional brands and products to ensure successful delivery against enterprise-wide strategic direction, priorities and financial targets
- P&L accountability to lead planning, forecasting and budgeting activities for all regional draws brands
- Set, manage and report on OKR targets and manage performance of product team to deliver revenue, profit and return on investment
- Oversee the budget and execution of regional product sales and marketing investment in owned, earned and paid channels (communication strategy, media execution, creative briefs and execution, promotion, education, engagement, merchandising, new product collaboration) to ensure alignment with enterprise-wide strategic direction and priorities
- Accountable to ensure the delivery of effective creative and messaging in marketing communications and in commissioning effective media plans from agency partners
- Direct the development of sales and media strategies to support the regional draw-based games marketing programs and initiatives
- Provide direction on the communication and collaboration across enterprise departments and divisions (Retail and Digital channels, Strategy, Finance, Responsible Gaming,etc.) to ensure alignment and support for business objectives
- Direct the research and development of a data-driven, in-depth understanding of players to identify growth strategies and evaluate specific market opportunities for the regional business
- Provide subject matter expertise and leadership on Regional Lotto games for projects and initiatives including product launches, enhancements, retirements and system improvements to ensure alignment with enterprise-wide strategy
- Ensure compliance to regulatory and policy requirements, working in collaboration with regulatory (AGCO), audit partners and internal partners (e.g., RG, Accessibility)
- Lead, coach and develop a Product team of 3
WHAT YOU NEED TO PLAY
Work Experience: Minimum 10 years of business / marketing and product experience; 5+ years of leadership experience in achieving business goals and improvements
Education & Knowledge: University degree in Business, Management, Marketing or a related field; In depth understanding of full-funnel marketing principles including promotion, merchandising, advertising, market research; In depth understanding of broadcast media / production, consumer / retailer promotions, budget and agency management and knowledge of creative production process. Knowledge of gaming industry, specifically lottery and/or draw based games, gaming systems is an asset.

Licenses, Registrations, Certificates:
This role may require a Category 1 or Category 2 Gaming Assistant Registration (License) from our regulator, the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO). If required, employment is conditional upon obtaining and maintaining this registration (license), which will be initiated at the offer stage.
