We are ready to take this game to the next level and need someone passionate to be accountable for the development and execution of the sports product strategy and strategic initiatives, in partnership with Sr Director, Digital Sports Product and other departmental stakeholders, in order to grow and optimize the Digital Sports Product business. The Director will take a holistic approach to the sports product strategy including identifying and considering the competitive landscape, industry trends, player trends and both external and internal stakeholders. The role will influence sports strategy decision making utilizing leading qualitative and quantitative analysis of internal, research, and competitive data to assess strategic opportunities. Based on developed strategies, the Director will advise and guide Digital Sports Product Managers on Digital Sports Marketing & Operations decisions where it impacts multi-year sports product objective.

YOUR ROLE IN THE GAME

Reporting to the Sr Director, Digital Sports Product, you will be empowered to:

  • Lead the development of digital and omnichannel sports strategies, financial objectives, and growth opportunities that increase player participation, customer and retailer satisfaction, and online presence while aligning to enterprise priorities and responsible gaming commitments.
  • Set and articulate a clear digital organizational vision by assessing organizational health, aligning enterprise priorities, and diagnosing complex, cross-team issues related to prioritization, goal alignment, and delivery impact.
  • Partner with Sports, Digital Product Owners, Retail Sports counterparts, Digital Player Development & Engagement and Centres of Excellence to advance long-term sports vision, category strategy, partnerships, and initiatives that drive growth across retail, online, and emerging channels.
  • Act as a subject matter expert and strategic leader to guide digital product teams, resolve complex business challenges, facilitate stakeholder alignment, remove delivery barriers, and support effective decision-making.
  • Influence and advise on sports customer experience, marketing strategy, investment mix, and ROI by leveraging customer insights, market intelligence, performance data, and best practices, support divisional planning and prioritization.
  • Monitor the sports betting landscape across North America and globally to identify emerging trends, technologies, partnerships, and cross-sell opportunities, building strong internal relationships to execute sports strategy effectively.
  • Partner closely with lab teams, product owners, Digital Player Development & Engagement, Brand & Marketing, Retail Sports Product, Digital Product Managers, Digital Customer Experience and Design, and Enterprise CX teams to translate strategy into executable business requirements and represent the voice of the digital sports customer across product verticals.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE GAME

Education & Experience:

  • University degree in Business Management, Marketing, or a related field required; MBA or other advanced degree considered an asset.
  • Seven (7) to ten (10) years of experience in an enterprise strategy or product strategy role

Relevant Skills:

  • Deep understanding of brand, marketing, digital, and service-based environments, with strong ability to translate technology and business insights into effective product and marketing strategies that drive measurable impact.
  • Proven experience developing and leading strategies across multiple, matrixed teams and lines of business, including shaping multi‑year product roadmaps, marketing visions, and go‑to‑market strategies amid competing priorities.
  • Strong partnership builder with a track record of creating trust, securing executive sponsorship, and collaborating effectively with Product Management and cross‑functional teams to deliver portfolio‑level outcomes.
  • Analytical and empathetic problem solver who can assess complex, long‑term business challenges from multiple perspectives, understand user needs, market positioning, and competitive dynamics, and drive practical solutions.
  • Excellent communicator with experience supporting product and marketing execution in agile environments; background in marketing strategy or business development considered an asset.
