We are actively looking for a Senior Manager.

This role is responsible for managing a team of software testers working on various client projects. As Senior Manager, you will work from our office in Sault Ste. Marie and provide coaching and support to team members in various stages of their career.

What you’ll do

Responsibilities

  • People Leadership and Development
    • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of software testing professionals
    • Support internal apprenticeship program
    • Ensure team member resumes accurately reflect their experience and capabilities
    • Support team members in client interviews
    • Ensure team members follow company policies and procedures
    • Manage team approvals (timecards, training, expenses, etc.)
  • Employee Engagement
    • Drive initiatives to enhance the employee experience
    • Promote a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, and innovation
    • Mediate conflicts and foster a supportive, inclusive work environment
  • Performance Management and Goal Setting
    • Set clear expectations and measurable goals for individuals and teams
    • Assess employee performance and provide continuous feedback
    • Conduct performance reviews
    • Create customized training plans to address performance feedback and employee’s goals
  • Team Culture and Growth
    • Embody and promote corporate culture and values
    • Be a strong role model for a diverse workforce
    • Support recruiting efforts through interviews and active pursuit of testing professionals
    • Stay up to date on emerging industry trends

What you’ll need

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in IT services, with at least 5 years in people management experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Knowledge of software testing
  • Strong coaching, mentoring, and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to inspire, motivate, and drive employee engagement
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
  • Experience in talent development and performance management
