Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Project Estimator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing project requirements, preparing accurate quotations. This role requires strong analytical skills, industry knowledge, and excellent communication abilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze project plans, specifications, and drawings to determine project scope.
- Collaborate with other team members to develop project quotes.
- Establish relationships to client’s project management teams.
- Collaborate with engineers on products equivalents.
- Create and present detailed bid proposals to clients.
- Maintain a database of cost and pricing information for reference in future projects.
- Ensure compliance with company standards and project requirements.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field.
- Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in estimating or a related role.
- Proficiency in estimating software and tools
- Strong knowledge of industry standards and construction practices.
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
- Exceptional organizational and time-management abilities.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Project) or similar tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification in Project Management or Estimating (e.g., AACE, ASPE certification).
- Experience with HVAC, construction, civil engineering.
