Job description

JOB DUTIES:

  • Previous parts experience considered an asset
  • CAT Equipment parts knowledge considered an asset
  • Tool knowledge
  • Answering service requests for parts and supplies. Billing parts to work orders. Verifying parts on work orders before work orders are closed
  • Identifying and sourcing repair components for in-house jobs
  • Co-ordinating with mechanics to obtain required parts and supplies
  • Assist with Shipping and Receiving
  • Reporting discrepancies with orders received
  • Phone suppliers and follow up on supplier parts availability
  • Creating Purchase orders as required
  • Operate fork lift as required to supply parts and equipment to the service department
  • Assist with obtaining information necessary for the creation of work orders
  • Report required inventory to Shop Manager
  • Working with staff shortages in answering phone calls and requests from customers
  • Participate in training when provided
  • Participate in Health and Safety policies and procedures
  • Reporting anything that does not seem professional conduct to your manager
  • Reporting any unsafe or defective equipment immediately
  • Reporting injuries no matter the severity
  • Maintain cleanliness of work area to the best of your abilities
  • Assist in the retention and identification of warranty and core parts
  • Assist in the inventorying and identification of stock parts
  • Assist with inventory counts and assignments
  • Perform other duties as assigned by your supervisor
