JOB DUTIES:
- Previous parts experience considered an asset
- CAT Equipment parts knowledge considered an asset
- Tool knowledge
- Answering service requests for parts and supplies. Billing parts to work orders. Verifying parts on work orders before work orders are closed
- Identifying and sourcing repair components for in-house jobs
- Co-ordinating with mechanics to obtain required parts and supplies
- Assist with Shipping and Receiving
- Reporting discrepancies with orders received
- Phone suppliers and follow up on supplier parts availability
- Creating Purchase orders as required
- Operate fork lift as required to supply parts and equipment to the service department
- Assist with obtaining information necessary for the creation of work orders
- Report required inventory to Shop Manager
- Working with staff shortages in answering phone calls and requests from customers
- Participate in training when provided
- Participate in Health and Safety policies and procedures
- Reporting anything that does not seem professional conduct to your manager
- Reporting any unsafe or defective equipment immediately
- Reporting injuries no matter the severity
- Maintain cleanliness of work area to the best of your abilities
- Assist in the retention and identification of warranty and core parts
- Assist in the inventorying and identification of stock parts
- Assist with inventory counts and assignments
- Perform other duties as assigned by your supervisor
