Finance Manager

Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Finance Manager to join our team. The Finance Manager will oversee financial operations and develop strategies to improve financial health and operational efficiency. This role requires a hands-on manager with a strong accounting and analytical background to manage day-to-day financial tasks, including financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Planning and Analysis

  • Develop and implement financial strategies, policies, and procedures.
  • Prepare, analyze, and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Lead the budgeting and forecasting process, providing financial insights and recommendations.
  • Monitor and manage cash flow and ensure the company meets its financial obligations.

Financial Reporting

  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of all financial data.
  • Oversee the preparation of financial statements in compliance with regulatory requirements.

Accounting and Compliance

  • Ensure all accounting activities and processes are in line with industry regulations and company policies.
  • Manage and supervise bookkeepers, accounts payable, and receivable.
  • Oversee internal and external audits and address any discrepancies.

Cost Management and Profitability

  • Analyze costs and revenues, providing recommendations to improve profitability.
  • Implement and monitor financial controls to reduce unnecessary expenses.
  • Identify and assess areas for operational improvement and cost efficiency.

Risk Management

  • Identify financial risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with financial, regulatory, and operational guidelines.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to understand and mitigate financial risks across departments.

Leadership and Team Management

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team, encouraging a collaborative, high-performance environment.
  • Set team objectives, provide performance feedback, and identify development opportunities.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field; a master’s degree or CPA certification is considered an asset.

Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in finance or accounting
  • 2+ years in a managerial role.

Skills:

  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
  • Proficiency in financial management software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Knowledge of financial regulations and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From $90,000.00 per year
