Get Involved

Sault Ste. Marie has been described as being the perfect-sized-city. Small enough that everything is 10 minutes away and that you usually run into friendly faces, but big enough to have most of the clubs, activities and infrastructure of a big city - swimming pools, soccer fields, hockey arenas, theatre groups, dance studios and more.

Sault Ste. Marie is also a community with a thriving volunteer community - people that set aside some or all of their spare time to making things happen for others. This volunteer base creates a sense of community not always found in larger urban areas and makes people feel welcome when they show up to practices, events, meeting etc.

New to the Soo but looking to get involved and feel part of the community? Contact a local group that meets your passion and go from there! Below is a large list of some of groups in our wonderful city.
