As a key player in the financial services marketplace of Northern Ontario we are excited to announce that we are currently seeking a permanent full-time Accounting Analyst.
Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the Accounting Analyst supports the organization by reviewing and keying invoices, processing vendor payments, facilitating internal and external AFT payments, preparing month end closing and expense variance analysis for reporting purposes. The Accounting Analyst is responsible for analyzing financial data, preparing reports, and supporting decision-making processes within the Finance department. This position ensures that financial data is accurate and compliant with relevant laws and regulations.
Preferred candidates will possess the following qualifications:
- Business Diploma or post-secondary credential in business related field preferred.
- A minimum of 3 years’ of experience in financial services, or related working experience.
- Experience using accounting system software with an ability to adapt to software changes.
- Demonstrated knowledge of accounting principles.
- Exceptional organizational and administrative skills, with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Knowledge of banking systems considered an asset.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills required to prepare communications and interact in a clear and effective manner.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines, adapting to heavy workloads.
- Willingness to develop new skills and continued professional development.
