ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY:

We are looking for an outgoing enthusiastic individual with a strong customer service approach for the position of Account Manager within the Residential Market.  Reporting to the Account Manager Supervisor, the Account Manager will ensure outstanding customer experience is being delivered to existing and prospective customers while supporting the Home Market Sales Team. Located at Head Office in Sault Ste. Marie, the position will be responsible for:

  • Educating current customers on propane, heating oil, service plans and associated services.
  • Preparing credit applications, Account Cancellation, and any other required paperwork.
  • Identifying opportunities to upsell to customers, based on the products and services offered.
  • Responding to incoming consumer calls for home heating product inquiries.
  • Resolving customer concerns to resolution; may involve working cross functionally with various departments.
  • Working in collaboration with the Territory Manager’s to maximize team effectiveness.
  • Maintaining and building committed relationships with customers and industry associations for business development. 
  • Ensuring retention (via proactive calls) and maintaining overall customer satisfaction.
  • Maintaining knowledge of competitive offers. Review and make recommendations to improve our offer in the Home Market.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS: 

  • A post-secondary degree or diploma with 1–3 years’ experience in sales or customer service; knowledge of the fuel industry or home utility products considered an asset
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including strong written and oral skills
  • Strong negotiating, time management and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage large volumes of data; strong attention to detail
  • Strategy development and strong analytical skills are an asset
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and retain strong customer relationships
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • A high energy, self-starter who can effectively work within a strong team culture
