Our continuous growth creates a demand for heavy maintenance lines. We service the Dash 8 Q400, Dash 8 100/300 aircrafts. Along with the CRJ100/200/700/900 aircrafts.

Position Summary:

The Aircraft Painter, under the guidance of the Production Manager, will be responsible for preparing surfaces and painting aircraft, parts, and components. They must ensure that all work complies with aviation standards, company quality procedures, and safety regulations.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Prepare aircraft surfaces by cleaning, sanding, stripping, masking, and applying protective coatings as required.
  • Mix and apply primers, paints, and finishes in accordance with manufacturer specifications and company procedures.
  • Follow technical drawings, manuals, and job cards for proper painting instructions and requirements.
  • Inspect completed work to ensure the quality, thickness, and uniformity of paint applications.
  • Maintain accurate records of materials used, processes followed, and work completed.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and hazardous materials handling procedures.
  • Perform touch-ups and rework as necessary based on inspections or client feedback.
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas, tools, and equipment.
  • Collaborate with other technicians, maintenance staff, and supervisors to ensure project timelines are met.

Preffered Skills, Qualifications and Education Requirements

Education and Requirements

 

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in painting or aviation maintenance is an asset.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in industrial or aircraft painting preferred.
  • Familiarity with aviation coatings, paints, and chemicals (e.g., polyurethane, epoxy).
  • Understanding of aircraft structures and surface preparation methods.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical manuals, and specifications.
  • Knowledge of safety standards, including WHMIS, MSDS, PPE, and confined space regulations.
  • Must be physically fit and able to work in confined spaces and at heights.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Work Conditions

  • Work may involve standing for extended periods, bending, crouching, and lifting.
  • Exposure to paint fumes, chemicals, and noise—proper PPE is mandatory.
  • May involve shift work, weekend hours, or overtime depending on project deadlines.
  • Work is typically performed in hangars, paint booths, or outdoor environments.

Working hours:

Working hours are mainly 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday-Friday; extra hours may be required to complete project deadlines.
