 Job Title: Senior Applications Cloud Operations Specialist

Position Summary 

Reporting to the Senior Manager Cloud Operations, the Senior Applications Cloud Operations Specialist is responsible for delivering the day to day monitoring and maintenance of cloud and on-premise operations, including managing all aspects of the application environment in order to meet current and future application demand.

What you will be doing:

·          Executes the day to day delivery for cloud/on-premises application operations activities including maintenance (daily checks, minor fixes or changes), upgrades/patches, preventative maintenance, optimization and lifecycle management (including decommissioning) to be able to provide stable and reliable technology solutions

·          Deliver the design and development of application enhancements using the Cloud operations pillars methodologies, tools and best practices framework to achieve the quality standards consistently

·          Prepares and provides support in implementing, testing and integrating new applications to ensure stability

·          Deliver tier 2 application support and support tier 3 application support when required and escalate as necessary to ensure that issues are resolved in a timely manner

·          Support the management of Technology assets through lifecycle from request to decommissioning to ensure reporting and tracking accuracy

·          Support and help develop the change and release management process including defining release strategy & activities for change projects, service readiness & acceptance and service transition

·          Develop and test the failure response, disaster recovery and business continuity plans to ensure adequate recovery time in order to minimize any disruptions

·          Identify, assess and communicate cloud/on-premises operational risks and support the development of recommendations outlining how to reduce any risk exposure

·          Maintain and update key process and procedures documentation pertaining to applications that Cloud Operations supports to ensure that collateral is kept up to date and utilized by new team members to ensure business continuity

Licenses and Registration:

·          AGCO Category 2 Gaming Assistant Registration (Initiated at offer stage – employment is conditional upon obtaining and maintaining this license)

What we’re looking for:

·          A team leader who can work responsibly, leading operational teams to deliver reliable technology solutions efficiently from requirement gathering to successful deployments in production systems. Assist with SOW development for products and services with vendors and ensuring that vendors fulfill their contractual obligations.

·          Minimum of six (6) years’ experience in progressively advancing roles within Technology or related function

·          Minimum four (4) years’ experience in cloud/on-premises operations/application operations in a fast-paced enterprise environment

·          Administration and support experience in IBM DataStage (IIS), Cognos Analytics, Peoplesoft Financial, MS Dynamics Finance and Operations, MS Dynamics CRM, MOVEit Automation, MOVEit File Transfer and Power Bi

·          Proficient in most of these primary knowledge competency areas: Technical Troubleshooting, Application Operation and Health Monitoring, Cloud Resource Management, Technology Systems Management, Application Delivery Process, Application Software Implementation, Application Maintenance, Software Installation and Support, Software Distribution, E-Mail Administration, Web Administration

·          Secondary Knowledge in Directory Service Administration, Mobile Social Applications, Computer Network Defense, PC/Workstation Software, Performance Measurement and Tuning, Data Governance, System and Technology Integration, Middleware, Information Management, Data Administration, Data Warehousing, Data Movement Tools, Repository Tools, Database Structures, Content Management, Query and Database Access Tools, Object Relational Database Systems (ORDMS), Relational Databases, Big Data Management and Analytics, Document Management

·          Experience managing and maintaining both on-premise and cloud application environments

·          Working knowledge of PowerShell and SQL Query Language.

·          Proficient Knowledge in OS’s such as Windows Servers, Linux and AIX.

·          Working knowledge of Scheduling Software such as Control-M, Active batch etc.

·          Providing Subject Matter Expertise and/or guidance to team members and business

·          Required to comply and to interpret regulations and policies and to ensure compliance
