Sault Area Hospital, a 293 bed facility, is seeking General Psychiatrists and Child and Adolescent Psychiatrists to join our team of 8 Psychiatrists providing care to patients in Sault Ste. Marie.
Affiliation with the Northern Ontario School of Medicine (NOSM) provides the opportunity to teach residents and medical students. Faculty appointments and research is supported by the Sault Ste. Marie Academic Medical Association.
License & Eligibility
Candidates must be fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RSCPC) or exam eligible and hold or be eligible for an independent practice license with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO).
Remuneration is attractive and competitive. Call stipends are available with shared call.

The SSM Physician Recruitment and Retention Program offers a relocation allowance in addition to the Ministry of Health Northern and Rural Recruitment & Retention Initiative of over $83,000 over four years.

Locum Opportunity
SAH is in need of ongoing locum support to cover EDMC and Inpatient services. Candidates must hold an independent practice license and be a fellow of RCPSC. Generous compensation is provided by both Ontario Health Northern Specialist Locum Program (OH NSLP) and hospital on call funding. Expenses are reimbursed.
