Northern Credit Union is searching for a Payroll & Benefits Coordinator that will be responsible for assisting in multiple financial activities relating to company bi-weekly payroll functions, benefits/pension administration and remittances. Timely and accurate reporting of payroll data internally and externally is critical in ensuring compliance to multiple legislations and regulations.

Reporting to the Senior Manager of Accounting, the Payroll & Benefits Coordinator ensures that payroll follows the collective agreements, employment contracts, employment standards and CRA guidelines. Attention to detail and accuracy are essential for this role.

Preferred candidates will possess the following qualifications:
*College or University education in a related field;
*Minimum of two years of related experience;
*Canadian Payroll Association certification is preferred;
*Knowledge of CRA guidelines and required year-end reporting;
*Proficiency with Excel and Word;
*Strong written and verbal communication skills;
*Ability to adapt to change with continued learning as required meeting organizational needs; and
*Proven track record of taking the initiative to constantly and consistently exceed (external and internal) customer expectations.
