Manager – Financial Accounting

This is a mandate for a Chartered Professional Accountant looking for the opportunity to apply IFRS and corporate governance in a fast-paced and complex environment that is continually evolving.

This role will see you leading the Financial Accounting Team responsible for the ledgers and reporting of various entities, proficiently working with external auditors and third parties, and ensuring that internal controls are effective and efficient. You will ensure the timely and accurate delivery of infallible financial reporting, reconciliations and analyses, and participate in special projects individually or as part of a cross-functional team.

You are a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA OR CA) with at least five (5) years of experience in a Controlling department or in a corporate environment and have experience building, leading and  participating in a high-performance team and overseeing technology upgrades to meet the functional and operational goals and exceed the expectations of their customers.

Your ability to develop detailed work plans and work in a dynamic cross-functional team atmosphere will help you succeed in this role, as will your communication, presentation and report-writing skills. Extensive knowledge of C-SOX / SOX best practices, strong skills with Microsoft Office Suites, as well as management experience, strong analytical, negotiating, problem-solving and decision-making skills round out your profile. Experience with SAP, Prophix and/or Thotspot is a plus.
