STEM Engineering Group Incorporated is a multi-disciplined, progressive consulting firm, offering project management and engineering services to Municipal, Industrial, Commercial, and Institutional clients throughout Northern Ontario. We are currently seeking highly motivated candidates to fill the following position:

Civil Engineering Technologist/Designer
Candidates should have experience utilizing basic civil engineering principles, drafting standards, and be proficient with Civil3D software. The available position is in the municipal/private development group and responsibilities include performing preliminary designs and producing construction drawings for a variety of public and private development projects. Candidates should have a basic understanding of local approval requirements and construction standards.

Key Responsibilities
-Visit sites to assemble the essential data for the design and construction of projects.
-Prepare Civil3D models and engineering drawings for municipal infrastructure and private development projects.
-Assist in preparation of documents required for approvals, construction, cost estimates, tender documents and contracts.
-Work with other team members to ensure schedules and quality control standards are achieved and maintained.
-Coordinate details with other disciplines.
-Assist the Engineers in the design of plans and preliminary estimations.
-Provide all aspects of design support for civil engineering projects.
-Perform other related tasks that will help accomplish the project.
-Prepare engineering reports.

Qualifications
-College diploma in Engineering Technology or other equivalent training.
-Proficient with Autodesk Civil3D.
-Experience in engineering consulting will be considered an asset.
-Minimum 2 years of engineering drafting experience with emphasis on municipal infrastructure and private development projects. Additional experience an asset.
-Strong verbal and written communication skills.
-Collaborative and team oriented.
-Good initiative, attention to detail.
-Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines.
